  • DISPLAY TITLE:

The display title will appear over each picture (Film Strip, Photo Album, Slide Show)as they are viewed or at the top of the page (Photo Page). The display title should apply to all image slots in the display. (The default title is blank).

  • MENU BUTTON TEXT:

When your display is part of an Innovative Web Concepts, Inc. web site, the site menu name is what will appear in your web site menu as the link to this display.

  • SEARCH ENGINE INDEXING?

Used to prevent the address of this display from being included in your site map, which keeps the search engines from indexing this display.

  • EXIT BUTTON:

The exit button appears in the control panel. You can set the exit destination to be any URL, if you leave it blank the exit button will not appear in the control panel. (The default is dependant on your web master.)

  • TRANSITION MODE:

You have 24 different options for varying the transition from one image to another. Currently Netscape browsers do not support this feature (recent surveys show that about 25% of web surfers use Netscape).

  • TRANSITION TIME:

You can specify the length of time for the transition from one image to another (from 1 to 10 seconds.

  • PINTEREST OPTION:

Pinterest is a social networking site with a visually-pleasing “virtual pinboard” interface. Users collect photos and link to products they love, creating their own pinboards and following the pinboards of other people whom they find interesting. The site has experienced rapid growth in recent months.

We researched the pros and cons of adding this technology and could not find a downside so the default is "On", however it may not be appropriate for all displays. The option to turn it on or off is on the customize page - Customize -> Pinterest Option. For more information about Pinterest Click Here

  • OPENING PICTURE #:

When you choose to have your album begin as a Film Strip or Slide Show this is the opening picture. If this field is left blank your album will start with a random picture. (The default is a random picture).

  • LARGE PICTURE #:

If you are displaying your images in a "Photo Album" format this feature allows you to have one full size image followed by rows of thumbnails. Captions, text, prices etc. will be displayed with the large image. This feature was developed to allow for different angles, close-ups etc. of the same image and is especially useful on sculpture sites. (The default is no large picture).

  • SLIDE SHOW DELAY:

The amount of time, in seconds, that the Slide Show format waits before displaying the next picture. (The default value is 10 seconds).

  • START SLIDE SHOW IN:

This option determines how displays which start as Film Strips or Photo Albums begin. (The default value is MANUAL. Slide Shows always begin in AUTOMATIC mode.)

  • START DISPLAY AS A:

The data in your display can be presented in any of the four display types. All four types are interchangeable, experiment to find the type that meets your needs.

  • Film Strip A Film Strip is layed out with a vertical column of thumbnails to the left of a main display window. Each thumbnail represents a data slot, when the viewer clicks on the thumbnail they are presented with the data associated with that slot.

  • Photo Album A Photo Album is started with a page thumbnails. Each thumbnail represents a data slot, when the viewer clicks on the thumbnail they are taken to a new window presenting the data associated with that thumbnail.

  • Slide Show A Slide Show does not start with any thumbnails visible. The users data is merely presented in a main window and automatically begins cycling through the data slots in the display. There is a 'Thumbs" button in the control panel which allows the viewer to convert the Slide Show to a Photo Album.

  • Photo Page A Photo Page combines all to the images and text for a display into a single scroll able page. This is an excellent format for Bio-pages as well as for selling merchandise, it displays the images along with the captions and text in a nice compact format.

  • FORMAT DISPLAY AS A:

This option determines how displays which start as Film Strips, Photo Albums or Slide Shows are formatted.

  • Picture Book The Picture Book format features a control panel. The viewer can then choose to read associated text by clicking a button in the panel. If your display is mainly consists of pictures and captions this format is best for you.

  • Story Book The Story Book format presents the text associated with each image as the image is viewed. Story Books work best for displays that use captions and text.

  • SKIP SLIDE SHOW:

When the images in a display such as a Film Strip are linked to a secondary display like a Photo Page, it is sometimes desirable to skip the intermediate Slide Show. This option is designed to allow for that case.

  • NAVIGATION ARROWS:

This feature allows the user to turn the navigation arrows (Prev; Thumbs; Next) on or off as desired.

  • ADD OR REMOVE SLOTS:

This option gives the account owner the ability to add or remove image slots to or from his displays. Simply input the number of slots to add and where to add them or tell the system which slots to remove. The process involves renumbering of all the files associated with the entire display, please allow it to complete. Killing the process mid-stream is a very bad idea and has the potential to corrupt your data.

  • MOVING DATA AROUND WITHIN A DISPLAY:

This feature allows you to move images around within a display. For example let's say you had added an image to slot number #15 and wanted to move it to slot #1. The first step would be to make sure slot #1 was empty, if not simply add a new slot (see ADD OR REMOVE SLOTS) before the current slot #1. (Note that adding a new slot will change the slot numbers throughout the display and your image will now be in slot #16.) Next move image data from slot #16 to slot #1

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION DATA!

The search engines will index individual pages of your web site. To encourage them to index each page according to the content of the display, you have the ability to describe the page contents and to define the primary key phrases for each display.

  • DISPLAY DESCRIPTION:

A description of the content for this display. This description should be as precise as possible and should contain as many of the key words or phrases you are entering for this display as possible.

  • KEY WORDS / PHRASES:

These are the things you think web surfers will type into the search engines when you want this page to come up. These words or phrases should appear in the "display description" and somewhere else on the page (caption, text block, title etc).
